Dale Chihuly in the rotunda but there is no photography allowed in the galleries (which I get, but which is kind of a shame since there is an awesome Audubon exhibit). Also noteworthy were some cool pieces by Bryan Collier (who illustrated one of our favorite picture books) and a lithograph of this famous portrait of Frederick Douglass.
a Seurat painting, I think my kids look like they belong in a scene from "Ferris Bueller's Day Off". Do you like Specs's Mardi Gras beads turned pirate bandolier? Yeah. Me too.
On our way back to the car I gave Tank and Specs pennies to throw in the fountain. Tank wished for a hundred dollars under his pillow when he wakes up tomorrow (not happening). Specs wished that he could give me a hug. He's a charmer, that one.Wish granted.
How was your Saturday?
