Thoughts on Joy:
I was at my friend's house the other day and noticed this magnet on her fridge. That's perfect I said. I have to take a picture of it. So I did (see above).
Today I kept thinking about this all day. Every time something went wrong--and it seemed like a lot of somethings went wrong today--I repeated this little mantra in my head. I tried to remember that attitude plays such a huge part in how we experience joy. Life is not perfect. It isn't ever going to be. That's the nature of life. It is up to us to choose joy.
Today I chose joy and it was a wonderful, fulfilling, happy, imperfect day.
Today I found joy on my journey:--going to the pumpkin patch with my family.
--eating Korean food. Yum.
--seeing my four year old walk our greyhound. Besides being hilarious because the dog is practically twice as big as he is, it was the sweetest thing ever.
--hearing my son give an impromptu tuba concert for the neighbors. And hearing them all cheer for him and encourage him. What a bunch of great people!
--spending lots of time outside today and soaking up the gorgeous autumn sunshine.
What brought you joy today?
